Yin Yoga & Sound Healing with Kaja and special guest Miriam Lieberman

Monday 26 October 6:30 p.m.
Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club
$50 + booking fee

An ocean-side evening of gentle movement, soulful live music and sacred sound. Release, restore and reconnect beneath the October full moon.

Allow the day to fall away. Soften into stillness. Make space for something beautiful.

Cocooned indoors at Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club, with the ocean beside us and the full moon illuminating the evening, join Kaja’s signature Yin Yoga and Sound Healing experience with exceptional musician Miriam Lieberman.

This special edition of our monthly Sacred Sounds gathering brings together the intimacy of live music, nurturing touch and deeply restful yoga in a sensory experience exclusive to Sydney.

Illuminate. Release. Restore. Renew.

Traditionally, the full moon offers a symbolic moment for reflection and release—illuminating feelings, patterns and parts of life we may be ready to leave behind.

Paired with the spacious stillness of Yin Yoga, this becomes an invitation to listen inward, soften held tension and reconnect with what nourishes you. No forcing. No striving. Simply time to breathe, feel and receive.

As spring unfolds, we’ll honour the Wood element, associated in Traditional Chinese Medicine with the Liver and Gallbladder meridians and themes of growth, vision and renewal. Our practice embraces a spring cleanse of the mind and a gentle clearing of emotional clutter, making room for fresh beginnings.

Your evening includes

  • Gentle Hatha flow, easing you out of the day and into your body.

  • Restorative Yin Yoga, with hip and heart openers and a seasonal focus on the Liver and Gallbladder meridians.

  • An oracle card offering, inviting reflection and intention.

  • Essential oils, Reiki assists and gentle massage, offered with your consent, to enrich this nurturing experience.

  • An immersive sound journey combining Kaja’s majestic crystal bowls, chimes and rain sticks with the exquisite resonance of Miriam’s African kora and her divine, expressive voice.

  • Beautiful organic herbal tea, allowing you to linger and savour the evening.

  • A complimentary crystal from Crystal Wellness, ritually charged and empowered beneath the full moon—a special gift to take home as a reminder of your intentions.

Imagine the delicate strings of the kora weaving through shimmering crystal bowls, Miriam’s voice filling the room, and the ocean holding the rhythm beyond. Nothing to do. Nowhere else to be.

Just you, your breath, and the space to come home to yourself.

All levels welcome. Bring your own yoga mat, or request one when booking.

Tickets: $50 + booking fee.

Gift yourself an evening of softness, beauty and renewal.

SACRED SPRING EQUINOX

Yoga • Yin • Live Music • Sound Healing • Reiki • Ritual

With Kaja Troa of Tama Yoga + special guest Miriam Lieberman

Monday 21 September | 6:30–8:00pm
Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club
90-minute immersion | $50

Deep roots. New growth. Full bloom.

Join us for a very special Sacred Spring Equinox 90-minute immersion — an evening of movement, music, sound, stillness and ritual as we gather by the ocean to welcome the energy of Spring.

The Spring Equinox marks a powerful seasonal threshold: a time of increasing light, renewal and emergence.

Nature begins to awaken and bloom — and we are invited to do the same.

After the introspection and deep restoration of Winter, Spring calls us gently forward. To move. To create. To open. To grow.

This special Monday Night Ritual is our ceremonial kickstart to Spring and the beginning of our seasonal exploration of the Wood Element at Tama Yoga.

WATER → WOOD, DEEP ROOTS, NEW GROWTH

Throughout Winter, our Yin practice has been guided by the Water Element — a season of turning inward, restoring our reserves and tending to our roots.

Now we begin to rise.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, Spring is associated with the Wood Element, the Liver and Gallbladder meridians, and themes of growth, expansion, vision, flexibility, direction and renewal.

Like a tree, we need deep roots to grow strong branches.

Kaja will guide you through a carefully curated seasonal practice, beginning with a juicy, heart-opening Hatha flow to awaken the body and encourage energy to move.

We will then soften into Spring Yin Yoga, exploring poses inspired by the Wood Element and its meridian pathways, creating space through the hips, inner and outer legs and side body.

This is the beginning of a Wood Element journey that we will continue exploring throughout Spring at our weekly Monday Night Ritual.

SPECIAL GUEST — MIRIAM LIEBERMAN

For this special Equinox celebration, we are honoured to welcome the beautiful Miriam Lieberman.

Miriam’s exquisite voice and the otherworldly sound of her kora will weave through our practice, meditation and sound journey.

There is something profoundly powerful about the human voice.

Music can move beyond language and thought and reach somewhere deeper — opening the heart, stirring emotion and reconnecting us to ourselves and one another.

As nature begins to bloom around us, Miriam’s live song, soul and kora will complement Kaja’s signature sound healing, creating a soundscape designed to help us soften the armour around the heart and invite our own heart centre into full bloom.

The evening also beautifully aligns with the release of Miriam’s new single, giving us another reason to celebrate creativity, expression and new beginnings.

The poster features a beach sunset with candles, a person practicing yoga, and a man playing a didgeridoo. The event highlights balance, grounding, and rest, with limited spaces and bookings required.

With special guest Felipe Anders

As the light softens and the season turns inward, join us for a deeply grounding Autumn Equinox Yoga & Sound Healing—a ceremonial practice to mark the official beginning of Autumn and restore harmony within body, breath, and nervous system.

Guided by the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, this 90‑minute experience weaves together Hatha Yoga for balance, Yin Yoga for deep release, and an immersive sound healing journey, supported by aromatherapy and Reiki.

Autumn is governed by the Metal element, connected to the Lungs and Large Intestine—the organs of breath, immunity, and letting go. This seasonal transition invites us to release what no longer serves, refine our energy, and create space for clarity and renewal.

Through slow, intentional movement and long-held Yin postures, we will nourish the lung meridians, support the body’s natural detoxification processes, and cultivate a sense of grounded calm. Hatha Yoga will offer steadiness and balance, while Yin invites stillness, surrender, and deep listening.

The practice is beautifully complemented by a live sound healing with special guest Felipe Anders, using vibration and frequency to soothe the nervous system, open energetic pathways, and guide you into a meditative, restorative state. Aromatherapy will gently engage the senses, while Reiki offers subtle energetic support, creating a multidimensional healing experience.

This is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and align with the natural rhythm of the season—leaving you feeling lighter, clearer, and more connected to yourself.

This special Lunar New Year experience is designed to align your heart’s desires with the dynamic Fire Horse energy of 2026, focusing on the Fire Element and the Heart & Small Intestine meridians from Traditional Chinese Medicine. Sacred Summer Solstice

Flyer for Sacred Sumer Solstice yoga and sound healing ritual on December 22 at Tamarama Surf Club. Image features a person in a yoga pose with tiger-print leggings, standing on four large candles, with a sunset background, spiritual symbols, and mention of aromatherapy, Reiki, Hatha, Yin, sound healing, and guided meditation.

SACRED SUMMER SOLSTICE

Join us for a deeply transformative 90-minute Sacred Summer Solstice Ritual, celebrating the longest day of the year at the beautiful Tamarama Surf Club. As the sun reaches its peak, bathing us in warmth and light, this is a potent time to connect with our inner fire, embrace expansion, and set powerful intentions for the year ahead.

The Spiritual Significance & The Fire Element: The Summer Solstice, deeply connected to the Fire Element, symbolizes passion, transformation, joy, and the radiant energy of the heart. Spiritually, it's a sacred moment to honor our inner luminosity, celebrate personal growth, and acknowledge our vibrant life force. This ritual is specifically crafted to help you harness this powerful solar energy, cultivate inner energy, and facilitate profound renewal as we prepare to farewell the current year and flow into the exciting Year of the Fire Horse! This coming year promises dynamism, courage, and a galloping spirit of adventure.

Embracing the Heart & Harmonizing Meridians with Yin Yoga: Our practice will begin with a gentle Hatha warm-up, seamlessly transitioning into a meditative Yin Yoga journey. Yin Yoga, with its longer-held passive poses, delves deep into the connective tissues (fascia, ligaments, joints), making it an ideal practice for the Summer Solstice.

During this ritual, we will specifically focus on poses that stimulate the Heart and Small Intestine meridians, both associated with the Fire Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine. The Heart meridian governs joy, emotional balance, and our connection to self and others. By gently compressing and releasing these energetic pathways, we aim to:

  • Harmonize our meridians: Releasing energetic blockages and promoting a smooth flow of Qi (life force).

  • Balance the Fire Element: Calming an overactive mind, cultivating compassion, and igniting authentic joy.

  • Reset the nervous system: Fostering deep relaxation and inner peace.

What to Expect During Our Sacred Ritual:

  • Aromatherapy Infusion: Throughout the session, subtle aromatherapy will enhance your sensory experience, guiding you deeper into relaxation and presence.

  • Hatha Yoga Flow & Tibetan Sun Salutations: We will begin with a wholistic and gentle Hatha Yoga flow, culminating in Tibetan Sun Salutations to beautifully warm up the body, open the breath, and consciously honor the powerful, expansive energies of the Solstice sun.

  • Yin Yoga for Fire & Heart Meridians: A guided practice designed to release deep tension, cultivate stillness, and balance your emotional landscape.

  • Reiki Energy Infusion: Optional gentle energy healing will be offered by a certified Reiki practitioner, promoting deeper relaxation, balance, and energetic release.

  • Sunset Guided Meditation & Sound Healing Journey: As the sun dips below the horizon, you'll be guided into a powerful meditation, followed by a profound sound healing experience. The therapeutic vibrations of crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other instruments will wash over you, clearing, harmonizing, and rejuvenating your entire being.

  • Integration & Intention Setting: We'll conclude with a period of quiet integration, allowing you to absorb the full benefits and set clear intentions for a vibrant transition into the Year of the Fire Horse.

Investment: $45 What to Bring: Yoga mat, comfortable clothing, water bottle, and an open heart. Blankets, cushions, and props are highly encouraged for ultimate comfort.

All levels, genders, and prenatal Mamas welcome.

Rest. Reflect. Recalibrate. Rise.

Art in Motion: Yoga by the Ocean with Kaja & Pop Up Audio

A woman practicing yoga on a beach during sunrise, with ocean waves in the background and a modern sculpture nearby. The image promotes 'Art in Motion: Yoga by the Ocean' event schedule and details.

As the first rays of sunlight kiss the horizon at Tamarama, something magical begins to unfold.

The ocean hums, the sculptures shimmer, and the body begins to move — fluid, alive, and free.

Art in Motion is more than a sunrise yoga event — it’s a living collaboration between sound, sight, and soul. Created in partnership with Candice Epthorp, the visionary behind Pop Up Audio, this experience merges movement, mindfulness, and immersive sound in one breathtaking coastal setting.

The Alchemy of Art, Nature, and Flow

Amongst the flowering seaside cliffs, surrounded by sculpture and sea breeze, we awaken the creative current that lives within us all.

The body becomes brushstroke.

The breath, the tide.

The mind, a spacious canvas.

Through mindful movement and sonic landscapes, we explore how creativity is not just something we do — it’s who we are. When we allow ourselves to flow, to play, to breathe with the rhythm of nature, we begin to remember our own artistry.

Every twist, stretch, and moment of stillness is a brush of inner transformation — releasing stagnation, awakening clarity, and opening space for new beginnings.

We Become the Art

Sculptures by the Sea offer the perfect mirror for this inner alchemy. These magnificent works reflect our own creative process — structure and softness, stability and surrender, imagination and embodiment.

When we move in harmony with the rising sun, guided by sound and breath, we don’t just witness art —

we become the art.

This is where body, mind, and spirit unite.

This is where creativity becomes a spiritual practice.

This is where you remember: you are the artist of your own life.

Supermoon

By The Sea

We’ve shifted the usual date so the moon can shine with us — join us Tuesday, 7 October at 7 pm for a supermoon viewing + gentle lunar ritual.

What is a Supermoon?

  • A supermoon is when a full moon coincides with the moon being at its closest point (perigee) to Earth — so it appears larger and brighter than usual.

  • In technical terms, astronomers sometimes call it “perigee syzygy” — syzygy meaning Earth, Moon, and Sun aligned.

  • Though the term “supermoon” is more poetic than precise in astronomy, the visual impact is real — and the symbolism in astrology is rich.

  • This month, the moon will be peaking in Aries — a fire sign known for initiation, courage, impulse, and boldness.

What some believe — energy, emotions & patterns

  • Astrologically, a supermoon is thought to amplify emotional currents, bringing hidden feelings to light, accelerating transformation, and intensifying whatever the moon’s sign is illuminating.

  • Because this one sits in Aries, the themes of action, assertion, courage, and beginnings may be magnified.

  • Some anecdotal reports and folklore suggest emergency services see increased activity during full moons or supermoons — though scientific studies are inconclusive.

  • Psychologically, this can be a potent time for release, intention-setting, writing, ritual, reflection and releasing what no longer serves.

Invitation: Let’s gather under moonlight for a ritual of breathing, intention-setting, gentle movement, perhaps journalling. Let the lunar energy support release and renewal.

Sacred Surrender

Sacred Surrender: A New Moon Workshop with Ivy and Kaja

Date: Saturday 23 August

Time: 2.00pm

Location: Indoors and heated at Tamarama Surf Life Saving Club

As we prepare to shift seasons, nature invites us to soften—and surrender.

We are flying from the water element of winter, a time of deep introspection and emotion, into the wood element of spring, where new life, creativity, and possibility take root.

This moment in the seasonal and spiritual calendar calls for presence, patience, and profound trust.

Join Kaja and Ivy Rivett for Sacred Surrender, a New Moon workshop offering gentle yoga, meditation, sound healing, journaling, and sacred rest. We’ll explore what it means to truly let go—so we can grow.

Expect a nourishing space where you can:

Lay down what feels heavy

Reconnect with your inner guidance

Call in the divine or the unseen

Make space for new beginnings to emerge

This offering is infused with personal stories of surrender—from spiritual initiations with Amma and angelic encounters, to childbirth and life’s big thresholds.

Come as you are. Leave softened, seen, and supported.
